Ella Louise "Tootsie" Keller Wilson, 86, of Parkersburg, died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Worthington Manor.
She was born July 31, 1930 in Little, W.V. in Tyler County and married to Gilbert Glen Wilson October 13, 1956. He died April 5, 2005.
She retired as Cafeteria Manager of Parkersburg High School after 23 years of service with the Wood County Board of Education. Ella Louise "Tootsie" Keller Wilson, 86, of Parkersburg, died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Worthington Manor.
She was born July 31, 1930 in Little, W.V. in Tyler County and married to Gilbert Glen Wilson October 13, 1956. He died April 5, 2005.
She retired as Cafeteria Manager of Parkersburg High School after 23 years of service with the Wood County Board of Education. She had previously worked as a cook at the Burger Boy Restaurant on Emerson Ave. for 10 years: and upon retiring, as a cook for the Children's Carousel Daycare Center of Vienna for 5 years.
She was a participant in the YMCA Pace-Setters Women's Walk (5k) and the Valley Strutters of St. Joseph Hospital Walk-a-thons for 4 years. She also served as a Sunday-School Secretary of the Faith Chapel Community Church of Coolville, Ohio-Pastor, Rev. Bill Lowe. She was a caregiver and enjoyed traveling from state to state and to gospel sings. She had a love for gospel music, flower gardening, and collecting dolls.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Beverly Stahl of Parkersburg, Mary Edgell and her husband Dan of Batavia, Ohio, Barbara Hupp and her husband Randall of Parkersburg, Ava Bender and her husband Dennis of Missoula, Montana and Linda Moore and her husband Junior of Parkersburg; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; one sister Evelyn May Kinney of Williamstown, WV; two sisters-in-law Edith Keller of Parkersburg and Irene Keller of Belpre, Ohio; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Melvin Keller and Dorotha Pearl Atkinson Keller; her husband Gilbert Glen Wilson of 49 years; one son a birth, Michael; one grandson at birth, Aaron Lloyd Stahl; one grandson, Daniel "Danny" Edgell; one granddaughter, Tara Stahl; 2 great granddaughters, Danielle Edgell and Aleigha Blair; two brothers, William Everett Keller and Russell Edward Keller; one son-in-law Lloyd C. Stahl; one brother-in-law Rex Kinney.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor, Rev., Bill Lowe. Online tributes may be made to www.sunsetparkersburg.com.
